The Fostering Network have recently launched a new fostering initiative, Head  Heart and Hands (aka foster care manchester). This is aimed at  encouraging a new holistic approach to supporting children in foster care, looking at their individual needs and moving away from the risk averse approach to making decisions which may deny foster care children the opportunity to learn and experience  A great piece appears in the Guardian today.
