Foster Carers are required to declare themselves as self employed for tax purposes and will be expected to complete a tax return each year. Completing a tax return, if you are not familiar with this process, can be a little daunting. HMRC are currently holding on line seminars to offer support and advice to foster carers on completing their yearly tax returns. The next seminar is 22 July.
