The Independent published an interesting piece on Fostering yesterday following on from Foster Care Fortnight. It’s a ‘call to action’ for anyone who has been considering becoming a foster carer. There are hundreds, indeed thousands of children who are being let down by the care system and are never able to experience a stable family life and develop the skills which will support them as they become adults. There are so many myths regarding foster care that serve to alienate people from making an application.
